Video helps Kiwi gain a sport scholarship at United States University

A few weeks ago we blogged that video is a growing trend for job recruitment, induction and training, but we’re now also seeing video being used more and more in applications for sports scholarships at Universities and Colleges in the United States.

Last year we filmed Amy Begg a student from Christchurch, who happens to be a very good softball player. Her specialty is pitching. She wanted a video of her pitching from several angles to send out to Colleges to help gain a sport scholarship in the United States. This turned out to be really successful.

This week we received a note from her parents Karen and Jason… ‘Just emailing to let you know that the recruitment video that you made for Amy was very successful. She is now at Morgan Sate University in Baltimore, USA on a full scholarship. She is a student/athlete and will be pitching for the Lady Bears Softball Team. Thanks for your help, you were all awesome to work with’.

Fantastic news and we’re so happy for her and what an exciting adventure Amy has now begun.
