House wraps for the year
Parliament sat for the final time in 2010 on Wednesday (15 December), meaning one of our biggest on-going projects (inthehouse.co.nz) is taking a well-deserved rest for the holidays.
It's been a busy year for the House, with many bills passed, national tragedies recognised, MPs leaving, new MPs arriving, and the never-ending debates. We thought we'd just take a moment to reflect on some of the funnier moments from the House (albeit the final one is from this time last year..) Question Time: Hon David Parker to the Minister of Energy and Resources: Has he received my invitation dated 14 December to accompany me, after Parliament rises, on the Gillespie Pass tramping circuit in the north-eastern parts of the Mount Aspiring National Park, so that he can inspect first-hand areas in the conservation estate included in his stock-take of mineral resources, and will he accept it?
