Dave Dunlay – Creative Director.

Dave brings 30 years experience in traditional and new media to Tandem, and along with fellow director Toby Ricketts, provides a unique approach to today’s multi-media environment.

Dave focuses on the following areas: social media strategy, new media strategy, vidcasts, sales videos, podcasts, documentary production, blogging, and dynamic client solutions in general.

Toby Ricketts – Director / General Manager

From a young age Toby has been actively involved in the recording and broadcasting of audio. He had a studio in his bedroom from the age of ten, and after high school completed his degree in broadcasting communications at the New Zealand Broadcasting School and now holds a Bbc – majoring in radio.
He was employed in the New Zealand radio industry for five years, not just producing adverts, imaging and features, but also as a creative writer. Toby has also taught seminars in audio recording, and has tutored in computer editing, recording and sound design at the CPIT New Zealand Broadcasting School. In 2004 Toby won the top award for sound design at the New Zealand Radio Awards, cementing his place as one of the leading audio engineers in the country.
Toby has been interested in business for a number of years, and has been an owner-director of various companies including a nightclub audio and lighting design and supply company, and also a car audio importing business before starting The Voice Booth in 2005 with Dave Dunlay, which formed Tandem.
He is married with two children.

Deb Stanaway – Producer

Deb’s 27 years of traditional and new media experience – mainly on the creative, marketing and delivery side – bring a creative edge to Tandem.

You’ll find Deb working with online video, podcasts, radio commercials, TV commercials, new media strategy, written content for websites, with the Voice Agency and running our Voice School.

Jonny Pipe – Studio Manager

Having been with Tandem for over three years now, training at MAINZ in Christchurch to diploma level – you’ll find Jonny in the studio making music, recording voice overs, editing video or creating lush soundscapes. Jonny’s attention to detail is outstanding, and he ensures that each project is undertaken with the greatest attention to quality possible.

Kineta Knight – Social Media Editor

Kineta has a broad set of skills which are utilised in her role as social media editor. She is a qualified journalist, and has been freelancing for a number of years to major broadcasters, papers, magazines and media organisations in both the UK and New Zealand.

Steve Lyons – Sales Manager

Steve has a wealth of experience in the area of sales. Having been sales manager for a large media company for a number of years, and a number of his own successful companies, Steve has all the skills to bring you top quality service from our Tandem team.

Sean Davies – Video Editor

Sean is a recent addition to the Tandem Team, and is a graduate from NatColl where he earned an Advanced Diploma in Video Post Production and also a Diploma in Animation and Digital Video. Before that he was completing his Bachelor of Information & Communication Technologies (Multimedia) at CPIT!

He is a very accomplished designer in all kinds of media and has the talents to add flair and sparkle to all of our video projects!
