2012: a year in review
The year is nearly finished and we've seen a lot less drama than in 2011. A highlight was the return to our central Christchurch studios in January 2012.
Back then the city was very quite and you could park anywhere. Now, 12 months later, the city is getting busier with more traffic, businesses and people returning and certainly fewer parks. While we are looking forward to our holidays (December 21 we finish and return January 16'13) we have all had a great year tackling all sorts of projects across a wide range of media. We've added photography and animation to our studio tools. Our live streaming (web streaming) has become an increasingly bigger part of our business with two major streams for the Royal Commission into the Canterbury earthquakes and the Coroners Court hearings into the deaths at the CTV buildings. The Royal Commission coverage via the internet was the longest live stream ever in New Zealand. Other events we loved being involved with included the World Buskers Festival (see the promo below) where we filmed the entire ten day event and turned that into a one hour TV documentary. The Ellerslie International Flower Show is another event where we provided all the online and social media coverage and have secured the contract to do this again for the 2013 show which starts March 13. 2013 is going to be even a bigger year, not just for Tandem but for everyone in Canterbury as the re-build post earthquakes gets into full swing; so roll on 2013 and we hope it's a happy new year for everyone! And just to finish off here's a highlights show reel of our recent work. If you ever have any questions or have some queries about audio, video or online feel free to contact us at anytime. Mean while from everyone here at Tandem Studios we hope you have a great Christmas and a very happy new year and we will look forward to catching up in 2013. P.S. Keep an eye out for our Tandem Xmas video over the next few days:) http://youtu.be/rbniEtEfJN0 http://youtu.be/yb8D8Z9oCyk
